Chinese Whispers (Original title : Viskleken), was awarded The Swedish Academy of Crime Writers' Award for Best Swedish Crime Novel in 2011.

 

2010

Shortlisted for the European Crime Fiction Star Award 2010/11. 

Arne Dahl was awarded the Radio Bremen Crime Fiction Award 2010

 

2008

Shortlisted for Best Swedish Crime Novel by The Swedish Academy of Crime Writers for Eleven (original title: Elva)

 

2007

The Swedish Academy of Crime Writers awarded Arne Dahl a special prize for his "vitalization and development of the crime genre through his Intercrime series".

 

2006

Deutsche Krimi-Preis (bronze) for Tiefer Schmerz (original title: Europa blues) in the "Translated crime fiction" category.

Shortlisted for Best Swedish Crime Novel by The Swedish Academy of Crime Writers for Afterquake (original title: Efterskalv)

Many Waters (original title: De största vatten) was #1 on the German KrimiWelt-Bestenliste in May 2006. 

 

2005

German Crime Writing Award  – Deutsche Krimi-Preis (silver) for Falsche Opfer (original title: Upp till toppen av berget) in the "Translated crime fiction" category.

Europe Blues (Original title: Europa blues) was #1 on the German KrimiWelt-Bestenliste in April 2005

 

2004

Arne Dahl was awarded the Palle Rosenkrantz-prize by Det Danske Kriminalakademi (the Danish Academy of Crime-fiction) for Europe Blues (original title: Europa blues) in the category "best translated crime nove".

 

2002

 Shortlisted for Best Swedish Crime Novel by The Swedish Academy of Crime Writers' for Many Waters (original title: De största vatten)
